Great initially. Once the renters took the camper and picked it up, the app was a little glitchy. But a good process when it works correctly.

Easy to use. Great way to make extra money

I have only one complaint with Outdoorsy. I think their platform for listing a RV is too confusing. Sometimes simple is best. Especially for your past 50 Owners. I lost all but 1$ on one of my bookings because I mis-interpreted an add on where it ask to pick “Required” “Charge per day” or “Paid upon rent”. It’s a long story but one of my fees that would be deducted from the security deposit was automatically charged to my renter and used as an income for me. Outdoorsy took its 20%. Although the fee was returned to my renter, Outdoorsy refused to return my 20%.

Overall, Outdoorsy has been great to work with. There are a few quirks that could be worked out. I have asked about these things in Chat but the features are either "still being developed" or seem to be things that have not yet been considered.

Outdoorsy is a great platform. My wife wants to know when WE get to use our RV because it's always rented out!
My only beef so far is Outdoorsy's cancellation policy. I am not able to cancel a renter without blocking the calendar permanently, even if it's months from the trip date. This is absolutely and arbitrarily punitive. Not I have TWO rental platforms now to get around that issue.

As an owner I've used Outdoorsy for a few years and like many things such as the app, market exposure and ability to communicate directly with the renter by sending videos and documents. The ease of payment and ample insurance coverage is also nice. They were Beta testing a adjustable rate feature that would raise or lower your daily rental fee depending on demand. I liked that, but don't see it anymore. I feel they fall short compared to other rental platforms in that they don't allow the owner to see the same information that the renters see regarding fees and delivery charges. If a renter requests a delivery, the owner is not able to add it to the quote. The renter can add a delivery location at checkout, but the owner is unable to see the mileage calculation or distance. The phone support utilizes typical call center (India) help which can only provide limited help regarding website direction or insurance guidance. I'll continue to use Outdoorsy to connect me with future renters, but hope they can tweak their platform to better serve owners and allow more transparency regarding the fee and delivery calculations.

As a can renter, I could use more individual help on growing my renting and potentially earning more money.

The listing had no order that holds up to the matrix explained. We are not appearing in searches as we do not have enough reviews while others with ZERO reviews appear ahead of us. Other than that insanely frustrating fact pretty easy to use.
